Candidate Registration
Purpose: to formally enroll the candidate into the AI/ML Specialist certification program.
Steps:
- Candidate completes online registration through the IntelliCademy™ website.
- Payment is submitted or invoicing is arranged.
- Candidate agrees to pre-course forms and submits to the registrar at registrar@intellicademy.ai
Eligibility Screening
Eligibility Screening
Purpose: to ensure the candidate meets the baseline requirements.
Course Candidates: Completion of the AI/ML Specialist 5-day course and training.
Exam Only Seekers: Prerequisite criteria to bypass the certification course. See below:
- Resume (Submittal Required)
- Years of experience in AI/ML – related roles
- Specific projects or roles where you:
- Used supervised or unsupervised learning techniques in Python
- Evaluated models using performance metrics, testing methods, or adversarial mitigation
- Demonstrated awareness of AI ethics and trends
- Contributed to mission-relevant or end-to-end AI solutions
- Designed or built custom ML pipelines or advanced workflows
- Written Statement (Submittal Highly Recommended)
- In a 1 – 2 page cover letter:
- Describe your AI/ML project experience and outcomes
- Highlight how you translate concepts, adapt solutions, and lead initiatives
- Provide context that may not be obvious from your resume (especially for advanced competencies like ethical leadership, strategic AI integration, and advanced model customization)
- In a 1 – 2 page cover letter:

- Code samples or GitHub links to demonstrate your Python skills
- A note if you’re open to a brief technical interview or skills assessment

Pre-Course Preparation (Course Candidates Only)
Pre-Course Preparation (Course Candidates Only)
Purpose: to prepare candidate for course and certification.
Steps:
- Sign Pre-Course forms
- Review the Python informational handout
- Download and install Anaconda on personal laptop for the course
- Engage with Python using the “Students – Test Notebook Environment”
- Complete a Pre-Course Prior Knowledge survey
- Submit Payment (Required before class begins)
Schedule an Exam
Schedule an Exam
Purpose: to formally assess candidate competence.
If you have taken the AI/ML course and are seeking to redeem your exam voucher, please email registrar@intellicademy.ai for exam registration.
If you are seeking to take the exam only and do not plan to take the AI/ML Specialist Beta Course before the exam, please email registrar@intellicademy.ai to request the eligibility application before registering and paying for the exam on the IntelliCademy™ website.
Exam Administration
Exam Administration
Purpose: to evaluate knowledge, skills, and abilities against defined competencies.
Steps:
- Arrive for scheduled examination time to the location of which you’ve registered for.
- Please arrive 10 minutes early for your scheduled exam time.
- Phone Policy:
- Please note that we strongly encourage you not to bring your phone into the building. However, if you do bring it, you will be asked to place it in a designated basket in the classroom for the duration of the exam.
- Please bring your own laptop for this exam, with Google Chrome installed.
Certificate Decision
Certificate Decision
Purpose: to determine candidate eligibility for certification.
Steps:
- The Certification Advisory Board will review:
- Exam Results
- Compliance with program policies
- Any flagged issues
- The candidate will either be granted the certification or issued a denial with feedback and retesting options.
- The certification decision and rationale are logged in the certification record.
Note: the certification decision is made independently of instructors or examiners.
Certification Issuance

Purpose: to formally recognize the candidate’s achievement.
- Upon passing the exam, the candidate will receive:
- A digital copy of their certificate with their name, certification number and date of completion.
- Validity period
- Conditions for use of Marks and Logos
- Recertification Requirements and CEU tracking information
Post-Certification Tracking
Post-Certification Tracking
Purpose: to maintain active certification status.
Certificants who provide relevant experience while holding an IntelliCademy™ certification are not required to test again during the recertification process. CEUs may be earned at any time while a certification is active, however the CEUs must be approved by IntelliCademy™ (2-4 weeks) prior to the expiration date of the certification.
CEUs are measured by the minimum amount of time a candidate needs to devote to achieving the credit and any relevant experiences not listed in the table above may be submitted to IntelliCademy™ with justifications as to how those experiences were relevant to the field associated with the certification they wish to renew.
Certificants who pay the renewal fee of $125 and meet the 40 CEU requirement for renewal of the certification will have 3 years added to the expiration date of their certification. Some CEU categories may extend to multiple renewals if the time investment was sufficient enough and the category is associated with both certifications.
Certificants may email in proof of CEU’s to the registrar at registrar@intellicademy.ai.

Duties of Certified Person
Duties of Certified Person
Certified AI/ML Specialists are expected to uphold the highest standards of professional conduct, technical competence, and ethical responsibility in all activities related to artificial intelligence and machine learning.
- Adherence to Code of Ethics – Certified individuals must conduct themselves with honesty, integrity, and impartiality, and follow the AI/ML Specialist Code of Ethics at all times.
- Compliance with Laws and Standards – They must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and relevant industry standards governing the development, deployment, and use of AI/ML systems.
- Maintenance of Competence – Certified persons are responsible for remaining current with advancements in AI/ML technology, methodologies, security practices, and ethical considerations through ongoing professional development.
- Confidentiality – They must safeguard all proprietary, classified, or sensitive information obtained in the course of professional duties, including client data, candidate records, and system designs.
- Responsible and Ethical AI/ML Use – Certified individuals are expected to design, develop, and deploy AI/ML solutions in a manner that is ethical, safe, fair, and free from discrimination or bias.
- Incident and Misconduct Reporting – They must promptly report any suspected unethical behavior, non-compliance, or security incidents that could compromise system integrity or public trust.
- Proper Representation of Certification – Certification must only be represented truthfully, without exaggeration or implication of capabilities or scopes outside of the certification’s defined limits.
- Maintaining Certification Status – Certified individuals must meet all renewal requirements, comply with recertification procedures, and pay applicable fees to maintain active certification status.
- Avoidance of Conflicts of Interest – Any real or perceived conflicts of interest that could impact professional impartiality must be disclosed to the certification body.
- Cooperation with the Certification Body – Certified individuals are required to respond truthfully to certification body inquiries, provide documentation when requested, and participate in audits or investigations as needed.
